Wornitonce was started by Emily Black, a fashion graduate and self confessed make-up junkie from Glasgow. She would often buy clothes, bags and products and never use them – this gave her the idea of providing a site where similar, over eager shoppers can swap or sell any clothing or beauty items that are not being used and in great condition.
Emily has always been a big fan of swap parties and regularly holds these at her home for girlfriends to rake through her huge pile of unwanted goodies (and vice versa)!!

She states “I’ve inherited this trait from my mum who has a whole loft full of clothes with the labels still attached. I will regularly buy things that I just don’t need because I love the feeling of shopping! This site will let people still enjoy the ‘splurging’ but without the guilty feeling attached as they will actually be making money from their unwanted items.”

Wornitonce will also allow budding fashion designers to showcase their collections – this was an area during her 4 year fashion course, which Emily noticed was an extremely hard thing for graduates to do.

Once you are a member you can upload pictures of your item and state it you want to swap or sell and also the amount you would like for it. It only costs £2 to add an item which in turn could make you lots of money!
